The Association of Sri Lankan Lawyers in the U.K. (“ASLLUK”) saw the light of day on 17th May 2003 when a number of far thinking senior Sri Lankan lawyers living in the UK brought their bright ideas together to establish a forum for lawyers of Sri Lankan descent. The primary objective of this Association is to provide for barristers, solicitors, trainees, law students and academics as well as for other law professionals of Sri Lankan origin a common platform where they could engage in social and cultural interactions as well as exchange ideas with a view to assisting each other by providing continuing education for professional development and through interaction with professional bodies such as the Bar Council, the Law Society and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
The membership of ASLLUK consists of all categories law professionals of Sri Lankan descent who include: Barristers, Solicitors, Attorneys-at-Law, Notaries, Paralegals, Trainee Solicitors, Law Students and Accredited Immigration Caseworkers who are all proud to be part of ASLLUK.
